Program Description:
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is located near downtown Amsterdam and conveniently located for travel purposes. The campus has nearly 32,000 students including 6,000 international students.

About Amsterdam:
Academics:
Students enroll in INTL 111: International Business & Economics (3 credits).
No previous Dutch language is required.
Room and Board:
University apartments are located on a completely centralized student campus. All rooms are fully furnished with a comfortable bed, wardrobe, desk, kitchen, and bathroom. Apartments will have many additional facilities including study and project rooms, 24/7 security, a lounge with TV’s and a game room.
Additionally, apartments are conveniently located nearby amenities such as a supermarket, bike rental and repair shop, medical and dental services, bars and restaurants, a hair salon, dry cleaning, public transportation, and more!
- Private studio with own bathroom and kitchen
- Located about 30 minutes by bike or public transport from VU Amsterdam (where you will have class) and 15 minutes by metro from the centre of Amsterdam
- Bedding and kitchen supplies are included
- Check-in and check-out times will be shared with the participants in June
- Rental agreement required. More details will be shared with the participants
Activities:
Additional to the courses, we offer exciting social activities to make sure you have a spectacular summer school experience! Make sure to join our social programme to meet fellow students from all over the world.
Welcome and closing events are included in the tuition fee. But we also offer additional optional activities to discover Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Dutch culture. We offer one-day trips to other Dutch cities, museum visits, bike tours, and many more!
We will share the detailed programme on this page in spring 2024 and a link to register will be shared with the participants in May. Paid activities have limited spots so we operate on a first come, first served basis, make sure you don’t miss out on the fun!
Eligibility:
- 18 years or older
- 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Completion of at least 12 hours of college-level coursework by the time of departure
- Completion of BUSN 110 with grade of C or better, by the time of departure
